Minneopa State Park Bison Refuge, Southern Minnesota

"Away, away, come away with me, where the grass grows wild, where the wind blows free."

You are in the bison refuge at Minneopa State Park near Mankato Minnesota USA. It is in full bloom and beautiful to behold on this hot and sultry July day. Colonel Henry Hastings Sibley, leader of the Indian Expedition, led his infantry through the landscape above during the Dakota Conflict of 1862.

We honor all victims of the Dakota Conflict.
We forgve the crimes committed by our ancestors. The slogan for the 150th anniversary memorial ride was "Forgive Everybody Everything."
We support afforts at reconciliation long-sought by both the white and Dakota cultures.

FEEDBACK IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED
