Upcoming Events for Author Steven Ulmen

August 11, 2011 will appear at the Brown County Public Library, New Ulm, MN as part of the Dakota Conflict series. I will read the final chapter of my historical fiction novel  "Blood On the Prairie - A Novel of the Sioux Uprising" which pertains to the hanging of 38 Sioux warriors at Mankato MN on December 26, 1862. This remains the largest mass execution in US history. 7:00 p.m.  start. The reading lasts about 1/2 hour.

August 27-28 2011 will participate in the Shooters Roundup at Ahlmans Gun Shop, Morristown, MN. We will be in the gunshop theater and will present a slide show with narration that summarizes the history of Minnesota's Sioux Uprising, or Dakota Conflict, of 1862.
